Nucdeic acid PCR detection method is still the gold standard for detection. The pathogen can be detected in the early stages of infection,but the long TAT and cumbersome operation are its shortage. Antibody test is with short TAT and simple operation,but it has a window period. Generally ,it can only be detected in 1-2 weeks after infection.
In contrast, antigen testing can detect the virus during the incubation period,the acute phase, or the early stages of the disease. It is more suitable for early diversion and rapid management of large-scale suspected populations.
