Procedure

1. Collect fresh feces sample using swab, or directly collect from the rectum. For screening cats without diarrhea, collect sample from rectum. Collection of dried feces samples is not recommended, as it often results in false positives due to excessive sample collection.
2. Immediately insert the swab specimen into the collection tube containing dilution buffer. Roll the swab immersed in buffer while pressing the head against tube wall for at least 10 times to release and mix the sample with the buffer. Then squeeze the swab against the tube wall to extrude the liquid from the swab as much as possible. Discard the swab.
3. Take out the test device from the sealed bag and place it on a flat surface. Aspirate the upper clear liquid from the collection tube using dropper, and slowly and accurately add 5 drops (do not overdose) to the sample hole marked with "S".
4. Wine-red liquid can now be seen flowing through the observation window. If the liquid does not flow, you can lightly press the area between the "sample hole" and the "observation window" to help the liquid flow.
5. Leave the test device at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes to interpret the result. The result will be invalid after 15 minutes.
